I think just about anyone with a media-playing phone has been there: You want to listen to some music or watch a show, but you don’t want to use headphones and you either don’t have easy access to electricity for powered speakers or just don’t want the hassle.
An interesting (if a bit bulky) option is the Clingo Parabolic Sound Sphere. It uses the same acoustic principles as a concert shell, bouncing and amplifying the sound in a half sphere, then throwing it forward in the direction of your choice. It will accommodate any phone or small media player that will fit within its 8-inch diameter. The mount uses a sticky, clinging pad to hold your player, but they swear it won’t leave any nasty residue behind when you remove it. It’s also got a cut-out in the back so you can sync or recharge your device while it’s in the dock.
The suggested price is $34.99, but you can get a nice discount off that at Amazon.
